About the Game
Crazy Planets is a Facebook game created by Playfish. You chose a crew of your Facebook friends to help venture out into the universe to battle the crazy robots that are taking over planet by planet. As you gain gems from killing robots and metals from visiting friends, you can upgrade weapons and even get new weapons such as fluff bombs and energy swords. You have a home planet that can be decorated with mad science experiments, brains in jars, caged robots, and a variety of other science fiction themed apparel as you earn coins from completed missions. Completing missions also earns you medals, some of which are earned by the way you killed the robots.

Tips
- There is a metal dispenser that looks like a television screen on your home planet. When it is flashing and has three green arrows, it means you have metals available. You can click on it once a day to get metals that can later be used to upgrade weapons. You can also visit the planets of your friends who play the game and click on their dispensers once a day for more metals. Note – metal dispensers can be taken off the planet, so some of your friends might not have dispensers showing.
- Choose friends who also play the game to be in your crew. The higher the level of your crew members, the higher stats they will have. They may also have upgraded weapons or more weapons unlocked.
- You can select two weapons per crewmember. Try to select a variety of weapons. Also, try to select the highest level weapons. For example, if you have a level 3 cluster bombs but your friend has a level 5, equip her with the cluster bombs and you take one of the other weapons.
- For easy movement on missions click on the spot where you want to place your unit. Your unit will move to the spot.
- Your unit makes the first move in every mission. Then one of the robots has a turn. If you have another crew member with you, he or she will have a turn after the robot. Then another robot has a turn. Turns continue like that throughout the mission alternating between your units and the robots until all have had a turn. If the mission is still continuing, the cycle begins again.
- Try to place your unit in an area protected from enemy fire such as under bridges, in crevices, on the side of a hill that is opposite the robot. Remember to look for all the robots that are within range.
- When on a mission, you can rotate the planet by clicking on the planet and holding down the mouse to zoom in or out for a better view. Rotate the mouse left to zoom in and right to zoom out.
- To pause the game during a mission, click the “Quit Mission” icon on the bottom left of the screen. When you are ready to return, click the no icon (x) to return to the mission in progress.
- At various points in the game you will receive a message that your friend has been kidnapped. If this happens you will see a new meteor in the galaxy with a “Help!” message from your friend. You must go to the meteor and release your friend from the force field trapping him or her. If your kidnapped friend dies, you automatically fail the mission.

Are you wondering why there are sheep and roses as planet decorations? It’s a reference to the book The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.
The children’s story is about a little boy from outer space who meets a pilot whose plane has crashed in the desert. The boy asks the pilot to draw a sheep for him. The boy then tells the pilot about his adventures in space and the strange characters he has met. He also talks about a rose on his planet that was very dear to him.
The planets in the game bear an uncanny resemblance to the illustrations from the book.
