Honeymoon Scene
Story Overview
Breaking Dawn Part 1
The story begins with a nervous Bella as she and Edward are about to be married. She is worried about being the center of the town’s attention. Alice along with Renee and Esme have planned the perfect wedding. The ceremony is flawless as the love between Edward and Bella can be felt by the whole room. Everything is perfect until Jacob shows up at the wedding reception. He begs Bella one last time to reconsider her choice to become a vampire.
Bella has grown up. She is married now and is whisked away to a honeymoon on a private island off the coast of Brazil. Isle Esme is the scene of the couple’s first encounter as man and wife. After several weeks of honeymoon bliss (feathers people), Bella begins having morning sickness and a huge increase in appetite. They soon realize that Bella is pregnant. The question is what exactly the baby is.
Edward rushes Bella back home so Carlisle can examine her. Carlisle and Edward want to terminate the pregnancy out of fear of the child being some sort of monster. No one knows what a half-vampire half-human child will be like. Bella enlists Rosalie to help her protect the baby. She insists on carrying the baby even at risk of her own life.
The baby is growing rapidly. After only a few weeks of pregnancy, Bella’s stomach is huge. The baby is draining the life from her. Jacob comes to the Cullen’s house to investigate the state of things.
When the wolf pack finds out about the baby, Sam and the majority of the wolves decide that the baby must be killed. Jacob won’t let them hurt Bella so he breaks away forming his own pack. Seth and Leah leave the pack to join him as he protects Bella.
The sicker that Bella gets from the baby, the worse Edward feels. He is in agony watching Bella die for what he thinks is a monster. As the baby grows, it is cracking Bella’s bones. They also discover that the baby craves blood. Bella sips on cups of blood to satisfy the baby.
Everything changes, though, when Edward is suddenly able to hear what the baby is thinking. The baby loves Bella and is sorry for the way Bella is being hurt. Then Bella’s body cracks one final time and the placenta is detached. The baby will have to be delivered or die.
The placenta is as tough as vampire skin. The only thing that can pierce it is vampire teeth. Edward has to cut the baby out with his teeth. The baby is a girl. Bella names her Renesmee after her mother Renee and new mother-in-law Esme.
Bella, however, is not going to survive giving birth, at least not as a human. Edward desperately begins injecting vampire venom into her heart and pressure points. In order for the venom to be able to change her, her heart must be able to pump enough to spread the venom through her body. He does his best to keep her chest moving hoping the venom will repair her broken body.
Meanwhile, Jacob leaves the room where Bella is dying. He intends to kill the baby that just killed the girl he loves. The moment he sees Renesmee, however, that intention changes. He imprints on her. She becomes the most important thing in the world to him. It is a bond deeper than love.
Edward’s efforts are successful and Bella is changing into a vampire. She feels the venom burning through her body, the most excruciating pain imaginable. After two days of burning, Bella opens her eyes and awakes to her new life as a vampire.

Story Overview
***Spoiler Alert - Don’t read this section if you don’t want the story spoiled.***
Bella awakes to her new life as a vampire. Her senses are magnified and her voice and skin have changed. She can jump and run as fast as Edward.
Edward takes her on her first hunt. But in the middle of the hunt, they catch the scent of some people hiking through the woods. Bella immediately begins to chase them. Edward follows her to stop her, but Bella realizes what she was about to do.
Unlike normal newborn vampires, Bella seems to have an unusual amount of self-control. After hunting a mountain lion and some deer, Bella wants to see her child. Everyone is worried that Bella will hurt Renesmee because she won’t be able to control herself. But Bella is able to control herself easily.
Her daughter has a talent like her dad. When Renesmee touches someone, she can show him or her images and thoughts. She puts images into people’s heads, the reverse of what Edward can do.
Bella also discovers that Jacob has imprinted on Renesmee. Bella is angry at him and tries to hit him. Seth jumps in front of him, though. This cools Bella’s temper. She realizes that his imprinting is a good thing. It has settled the dispute with the two wolf packs. Sam and the others would not kill someone who has been imprinted on by another wolf.
Esme and the other Cullens give Edward and Bella a cottage to live in, a wedding present for a newlywed couple who never have to sleep.
Jacob shifted to his wolf form in front of Charlie, Bella’s dad, so that Charlie would know that something supernatural has happened to Bella. He doesn’t want to know any of the details, though. Bella is able to be around him without hurting him as well. Bella has adjusted to her new life better than anyone had hoped.
Her happiness is short-lived, though. Alice has a vision of the Volturi coming because they think Renesmee is a child that has been changed into a vampire, a very dangerous and uncontrollable creature.
The Cullens decide to seek out as many vampire friends as possible to witness to the Volturi that Renesmee is a hybrid child who grows and can be taught. Vampires from around the world begin showing up in Forks to await the arrival of the Volturi.
Jasper and Alice leave without an explanation. Alice leaves Bella a cryptic message to seek out a man in Seattle. Bella goes to see him and gets fake identification for Jacob and Renesmee in case they have to flee.
Bella discovers that she has a shield talent. Her mind is impenetrable to vampire talents that work on the mind. She also discovers that she can cover others with this shield.

The Volturi arrive and the Cullens and their friends gather to meet them. Aro, one of the Volturi leaders, realizes that Renesmee is not what they thought she was. The Volturi are looking for a pretext to fight the Cullens.
However, when they discover that Bella is able to shield the Cullen’s entire group with her shield, the Volturi realize that they would be at a disadvantage in the fight. The Volturi decide not to fight and they leave.
Bella is able to resume her happy life as a vampire with her new husband and daughter.

Can't wait to see Breaking Dawn... the goose feathers and the damaged furniture thing...haha
Why do they have to make this movie in 2 parts?! especially a whole year apart!!! URGH! ay.... it's going to be interesting to see how they film this one though.... i just wish that they had chosen better actors from the very beginning :(
Not a fan at all of this series, but I did find your piece a worthwhile read.
I fell in love with Twilight after seeing the first movie. Then I read the first book, got hooked, and read them as fast as I could. Thanks for this article and for the well-written summary of Breaking Dawn. I had forgotten how good it was.
Thank to you, I have to see this movie. Voted up
Oh!This is the latest one. Excellent hub. THAnks for having this shared to us.
This movie was awesome!! I went to see it at the midnight showing and the theatres were jammed packed. It was great being amongst fellow "Twilighters". I can't wait until next year, it's oh so long from now. Good hub!
Good Review I saw the film also
OMG!!!!the movie breaking dawn made me faalll in love with now i want to see more!!!!!
I gotta say, I don't think there was any reason to make the movie into two parts... I saw the first part, and the first half was incredibly bland. The second half was pretty weird. The moment anything interesting appeared to occur was the moment to end the movie.
The movie was pretty funny at parts it probably shouldn't have been. Like that moment when the baby, Renesmee, comes out of Bella, there is like a full two or three minutes when they're all staring at the baby, not taking care of the patient, who is bleeding to death.
Please note, I am not a 'Twilight hater,' or any of the sort. I have read all of the books. The movies, however, were absolutely terrible. The books were alright, but overrated. The movies... the first two were outright terrible. The third was decent. Kristian Stewart (I think I spelled her first name wrong...) was actually alright in that. Some meaningful funny moments, that were actually funny.
The fourth was incredibly boring, because they split it into two. If they kept it as one, I would have been fine watching it all, in a two-and-a-half hour form, with about 15-20 minutes being pretty boring at the beginning, and the rest being decent.
However, it wasn't.
Again, not a hater of the series, or the fans, but of the way they were adapted.
It does make sense that the die hard fans would be upset about that, and would probably use the complaint that, "Harry Potter got the 'two-part' treatment, why shouldn't this?"
I think that does make some sense.
However, I still have the complaint that the romance at the beginning was still pretty bad. I'm a huge fan of movies, and I am pretty sure I know decent movie romance when I see it. I'd say it just wasn't there. On screen, I mean... I'm pretty sure the two leads are dating or something like that in real life...
The whole sex scene was completely ridiculous, and was another one of those scenes that probably wasn't meant to be humorous, and was. That, along with the connection between the leads, was my main complaint with the movie.
Sorry, just my opinion. Was still a decentish movie.
I Love the Twilight series... i really hope the author continues to publish her books. And that they continue making the Twilight films. I give all 4 movies 2 thumbs up. They were amazing!!!!!
Geez I can´t wait for part 2...but THX for this great hub information ^__°.
